Olympus Solar continues support for Muscatine County Fire Departments

The Olympus Solar Energy Center team again demonstrated  its commitment to Muscatine County by contributing $2,000 each to the Atalissa, West Liberty, and Nichols Fire Departments. The donations mark the second consecutive year Invenergy has supported the three volunteer departments. Prior to operation, Olympus Solar will coordinate with all relevant emergency services to ensure that local departments are comfortable and supported in their important safety roles.

For smaller rural departments, the support is especially impactful in securing the resources they need to maintain equipment, enhance training, and respond safely and efficiently to emergencies across the county.

“Reliable equipment is essential for every response we make,” said Chief Kirt Sickels, West Liberty Fire Department. “Invenergy’s continued support allows us to update and maintain the tools our firefighters depend on, helping us stay ready to serve our community.”

“Volunteer departments like ours rely on partnerships to keep moving forward,” said Chief J.J. Hudson, Nichols Fire Department. “We appreciate Invenergy continuing to stay engaged with us and support our efforts with a donation for the second year in a row.”

“As we continue developing the Olympus Solar Energy Center, we recognize that working with local first responders is essential, and we are proud to continue this support for a second year,” said Steve Morris, Invenergy Development Manager. “These fire departments are vital to the communities they serve, and we’re honored to contribute to their ongoing efforts in Muscatine County.”
