Olympus Solar donates to three Muscatine County Fire Departments
The Olympus Solar Energy Center team presented a $2,000 donation to three fire departments in Muscatine County: Atalissa Fire Department, West Liberty Fire Department, and Nichols Fire Department. These donations will support the departments’ essential emergency response services.
“We are grateful for Invenergy’s support of our department and community,” said Chief Mike Smock of the Atalissa Fire Department. “This contribution will enable us to invest in equipment and resources that ensure the safety of our community and its residents.”
“Every call we respond to requires gear that’s safe, reliable, and up to date,” said Chief Kirt Sickels of the West Liberty Fire Department. “Invenergy’s donation will go toward replacing aging equipment and helping us stay ready to protect the people we serve.”
“In rural towns like ours, we don’t always have access to the funding larger cities do,” said Chief J.J. Hudson of the Nichols Fire Department. “Every dollar we receive goes directly into keeping our firefighters safe and ensuring we’re ready when our neighbors need us most. This kind of community investment from Invenergy makes a real difference.”
“It’s an honor to support these three fire departments and the vital role they play in Muscatine County,” said Steve Morris, Invenergy Development Manager. “As we continue our work on the Olympus Solar Energy Center, we’re proud to invest in organizations that serve the community and help make it a safe and thriving place to live.”
